Public transport services in Dubai carried nearly 3.8 million people during the recent Eid Al Fitr holiday weekend, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Eid was officially declared on Friday but some workers in the emirate had from Thursday to Sunday off to celebrate.
The RTA said there were 1.542 million metro riders over Eid, with 1.019 million on the Red Line and 522,672 on the Green Line.
The tram carried 55,222 people and public buses 1.188 million, while transit marine transport methods served 214,328 and taxis lifted 793,936.
The authority said it made special arrangements over the holiday to ensure the smooth travel of those celebrating.
The exact number of riders was 3,794,320.
