Dubai Economy imposed fines on three retail outlets in a shopping centre for employees’ lack of commitment to wearing masks on November 3.

However, overall inspections found that 748 shops and commercial establishments fully complied with the precautionary measures, official news agency WAM reported.

Field inspectors from the Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection (CCCP) sector in Dubai Economy continued their visits to a number of open markets and shopping centres across the emirate to ensure compliance to the precautionary measures against Covid-19.

Dubai Economy urged everyone to cooperate and contribute to keeping the emirate’s economy moving. It has called on the public to report any non-compliance via the Dubai Consumer app, website or by calling at 600545555.

On November 4, the UAE reported 1,161 new Covid-19 infections and two deaths, scaling the fatality toll to 505 and the registered infection count to 137,310.
