Home GCC UAE Dubai Chamber, TikTok help over 280 startups to strengthen their digital growth The MoU was signed earlier this year to create and launch the Dubai Chamber – TikTok Academy. by Divsha Bhat August 24, 2021 TikTok for Business and Dubai Chamber have been paving the way for entrepreneurs and start-ups across the UAE by assisting them with their digital growth plans. The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed an MoU with TikTok earlier this year to create and launch the Dubai Chamber – TikTok Academy, a an educational programme that will help 1,000 startups and SMEs validate and grow their businesses using the content creation platform. Read: Dubai Chamber partners with TikTok to launch training programmes for SMEs and startups To date, almost 300 businesses have participated in the educational program, with participants from a wide range of sectors eager to learn more about building and expanding their presence on the TikTok platform to grow their reach, including IT, art, health, construction, and banking. “In this digital age, businesses must dedicate their efforts to further strengthen their online presence for business success. We hope to support more businesses in the months to come through the Academy and help them with their digital transformation strategiesm” said Shant Oknayan, general manager, global business solutions, Middle East, Africa, Turkey, and Pakistan, TikTok. Businesses and entrepreneurs interested in taking part in the next Dubai Chamber-TikTok Academy, will be able to apply to the program once it launches again later in the year. Established in 1965, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a non-profit public entity, whose mission is to represent, support and protect the interests of the business community in Dubai by creating a favorable business environment, supporting the development of business, and by promoting Dubai as an international business hub. Also, in April 2021, The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) officially announced its partnership with TikTok.
