Authorities in Dubai have called upon people across the country to exercise caution and follow precautionary measures during the 49th National Day celebrations.
In a tweet, Dubai Media Office urged UAE citizens and residents to heed measures to help contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus. These include:
- Avoid large family gatherings – (no more than 20 people at home celebrations, while adhering to safety guidelines)
- Adhere to the official health and safety precautionary measures at all times – (including wearing a mask and practicing social distancing)
- Avoid crowded public places
The UAE announced a three-day holiday break for public and private sectors to mark the country’s 49th National Day as well as Commemoration Day.

Motorists across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi can park their vehicles for free during the three-day holiday period.
