Covid-19 update: UAE reports 1,078 cases, second highest daily rise since the outbreak

The UAE reported 1,078 new Covid-19 cases on September 26, its second highest daily increase in infections since the contagion broke out in the country.

The highest daily rise in new cases of the coronavirus infection, tallying 1,083, was recorded on September 22.

The new cases were detected as a result of 98,168 new tests carried out as part of plans to expand the number of examinations across the country.

The health ministry also confirmed 857 recoveries and two Covid-19 fatalities.

The total number of registered cases have now reached 90,618, which include 79,676 recoveries and 411 deaths.
