The world’s most popular AI tool, ChatGPT, experienced brief downtime on Thursday afternoon, according to website outage reporting tool Downdetector.com.
At the time of writing, OpenAI has not disclosed the reasons for the outage. This marks the second time in recent months that ChatGPT has experienced downtime. On December 12, 2024, an outage impacted OpenAI’s newly launched Sora AI model, which enables users to create videos from text prompts.
