Home Technology Mobility Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate to introduce e-bike services in Dubai Festival City Tier Mobility’s initial fleet of e-bikes, which have pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, will be located at the Marsa Plaza promenade by Divsha Bhat July 12, 2022 Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate has announced a partnership with Berlin-headquartered, Tier Mobility to operate e-bike micro-mobility services in Dubai Festival City. Tier’s initial fleet of e-bikes, which have pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, will be located at the Marsa Plaza promenade with plans of expanding to other locations within the area. The strategic partnership with Dubai Festival City will create positive waves for sustainable transportation, translating into superior quality customer service to the destination’s visitors, and residents,” said Amir Melad, general manager – Middle East, Tier. All residents and tourists can use Tier e-bikes by simply downloading the app. Riders have the option to use ‘pay-as-you-go’ offered at a rate of Dhs1 per minute of usage, or opt for a subscription model. Recently, Tier increased its fleet in Dubai in response to the Road and Transport Authority’s statement, introducing its e-scooters in an additional 10 Dubai districts. Al Khawaneej, Business Bay, Dubai Internet City, Dubai Marina Promenade, Greens, Jumeirah Beach Cycle Track, and Palm Jumeirah are among the districts. Tier has also equipped its current model with signal indicators that provide 360° visibility, making it the first e-scooter in the Middle East with this capability.
