Jameel leads Saudi conglomerate Abdul Latif Jameel,established in 1945. Initially a small trading business, it expanded into toyota vehicle distribution in 1955.
Today, the group spans mobility, energy, healthcare, and finance, with operations
in over 35 countries.
In January 2024, Abdul Latif Jameel Health acquired a majority stake in Genpharm, enhancing its presence in rare disease treatment across MENAT. In December 2024, Jameel Motors partnered with China’s Farizon Auto to distribute electric commercial vehicles in 11 countries, including the UK.
Since acquiring Spanish renewables firm FRV in 2015, the group has broadened its clean energy footprint across Europe. Its philanthropic arms, Bab Rizq Jameel and Art Jameel, continue to champion youth employment and cultural initiatives in Saudi Arabia.
