In 2024 and early 2025, both ADNOC and Masdar have made significant strides in their respective sectors. Under his leadership, Masdar expanded its renewable energy capacity by 150 per cent to 51 GW, secured $8bn in equity, and developed seven major global projects, including Central Asia’s largest wind farm. In 2025, Masdar announced a $6bn, 5.2 GW solar and battery storage project in Abu Dhabi to deliver uninterrupted clean energy. Simultaneously, ADNOC recorded strong financial performance across its subsidiaries. ADNOC Gas achieved $24.43bn in revenue and $5bn in net income, while ADNOC Logistics & Services saw revenues climb by 29 per cent to $3.55bn. ADNOC Distribution reported a 5.9 per cent rise in EBITDA and record fuel volumes. ADNOC’s listed entities collectively generated $49.7bn in revenue, with $6.7bn in dividends announced. Speaking at CERAWeek 2025 recently, Al Jaber also emphasised the urgency of pragmatic solutions in the energy transition. His leadership reflects the UAE’s balanced approach—scaling renewables while optimisng the efficiency of conventional energy — to shape a more sustainable global energy future. Furthermore, Al Jaber’s leadership extends to clean energy initiatives through his role as chairman of Masdar, a pioneering clean energy company with a global footprint and investments exceeding $30bn. Masdar’s renewable energy projects span across 40 countries and boast over 20GW of capacity.
