UAE public holiday in December 2023 Commemoration Day falls on Friday, December 1, followed by National Day on Saturday, December 2 and a further holiday for National Day on Sunday, December 3. That said, it is unclear at this stage whether the National Day public holidays will equate to a working day off. As December 2 happens to be a Saturday, followed by December 3, a Sunday, providing residents with a spectacular 3-day weekend to partake in the celebrations. Moreover, residents in the UAE will also have the opportunity to honor the nation’s heroes on November 30-December 1, which is observed as Commemoration Day. Previously known as Martyrs’ Day, this significant national holiday pays tribute to the sacrifices and dedication of Emirati martyrs who have given their lives in various fields, including civil, military, and humanitarian service.
