The airline which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year plans to resume services to 180 pre-pandemic destinations on its network, having already resumed flights to over 140 of these. Al Baker was recently appointed to chairman of the governing board of the powerful oneworld alliance whose members include British Airways, Qantas and Cathay Pacific, among others. In addition, he is also chairman of Qatar Tourism which will seek to build on the buzz that the upcoming FIFA World Cup is likely to ignite.
