Visitor numbers were boosted by music concerts, sporting events and National Day celebrations, a statement said. Popular programmes included a concert by Alicia Keys at the Al Wasl Plaza on December 10, where she also unveiled her new release Keys, a performance by Indian singer Neha Kakkar on December 12 and another by popular Filipino artists Sponge Cola and Matthaios as well as the Expo World Choir which featured singers and musicians from 142 nationalities. Other upcoming attractions include Brainiac Live, a science show on December 15, as well as a musical show on December 16 and a standalone concert by Egyptian singer, rapper, actor, dancer and producer Mohammed Ramadan on December 18. Overall, Expo hosted a total of 10,461 events in its first two months with more than a quarter (28 per cent) of November visitors coming from outside the UAE. Top international visitor countries included India, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. Expo is also offering a new Festive Pass for Dhs95, available until the end of December. As the largest major global event to be held since the start of the pandemic, Expo 2020 Dubai is maintaining strict Covid-19 measures and requires mandatory vaccination of all Expo staff and participants volunteers, contractors and service providers. Visitors aged 18 and above are required to present proof of any vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours. Expo 2020 Dubai runs until March 31, 2022 and features more than 200 pavilions – including 192 country pavilions – as well as up to 60 daily events daily.
