Each of the 192 country pavilions – spread across the three main districts of sustainability, mobility and opportunity – will have the chance to showcase their innovations and strategies. Denmark Architect: Madison Group | Location: Mobility District Visitors at the Danish pavilion can participate in building a 6.5m long LEGO Viking ship, listen to historic stories or visit the themed area filled with SMEs from a wide range of industries. Meanwhile, a rooftop bar and restaurant concept offers indigenous cuisines and beverages. Image Courtesy: CubaExpo2020 Twitter Cuba Architect: Thematic District Pavilion | Location: Sustainability District The Cuban pavilion aims to recreate a vibrant scene set in the streets of Havana with local music. Visitors can learn to piece the wonders of the country through a collaborative game or learn to dance the Cha-cha-cha. Guests can also choose to down mojitos made with sugar from Cuban sugarcanes. Image Courtesy: Expo 2020 Dubai Twitter Monaco Architect: AODA, OOS | Location: Opportunity District Monaco’s polygonal pavilion, which is inspired by the ‘Rock of Monaco’, offers a multi-sensory journey through mirrored exhibition spaces, replicating the sights and smells of the French Riviera. The ‘Kaleidoscope’ will showcase the country’s art, culture and innovation, while visitors can relish the ‘Garden of Opportunities’ to soak in the country’s warm climate. Image Courtesy: Ministry of Economy of Georgia Georgia Architect: Thematic District Pavilion | Location: Sustainability District Through physical and digital displays, as well as immersive storytelling, the Georgian pavilion brings the country’s story to life. Bridging the gap between Europe and Asia, the pavilion offers visitors the opportunity to learn all about ancient wine-making traditions. Guests can also learn about one of the most ecologically-diverse places in the world, encompassing 12 climate zones. Image Courtesy: expo2020indonesia Twitter Indonesia Architect: PT Wijaya Karya | Location: Opportunity District The Indonesian pavilion will showcase an archipelago full of opportunities from partnerships, natural wonders, craftsmanship, and emerging technologies. Visitors will be able to enjoy cultural performances originating from different regions of the archipelago, art exhibitions as well as savour local, indigenous cuisines. The pavilion will also offer a glimpse on how the Southeast Asian country is developing science and technology, and is sharing its local wisdom and innovations with the world. Image Courtesy: Dubai Media Office Twitter Italy Architect: CRA-I.Rota-Matteo Gatto-F&M | Location: Al Forsan The Italian pavilion uses architecture for a creative presentation of ‘beauty that connects people’. On display are multidisciplinary skills, talent and ingenuity that can promote educational, professional and business opportunities. The pavilion created with contributions from partner companies of all dimensions, features exhibition areas and functional spaces for events and other initiatives. Image Courtesy: Lebanon Pavilion 2020 Twitter Lebanon Architect: Biel Group | Location: Opportunity District The Lebanese pavilion offers tech-related activities focusing on youth empowerment and sports, among other areas. Visitors can also enjoy live performances, workshops, conferences and themed festivals. The space aims to transport guests to witness deep-rooted societal connections, rising artistic communities and profound cultural impacts.
