Home GCC UAE UAE announces private sector holidays for Eid Al Adha Officials have urged the public to maintain Covid-19 precautionary measures during the holidays by Aarti Nagraj July 12, 2021 The UAE has announced Eid Al Adha holidays for private sector workers in the country. The paid holiday will start on Monday, July 19 (9th of Dhu al-Hijjah – Day of Arafat) and end on Thursday, July 22, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced. The holidays align with the dates that were announced for public sector workers in the country. Read: Saudi confirms Eid Al Adha date Officials in the UAE have urged the public to adhere to Covid-19 precautionary measures including wearing of masks and maintaining social distancing measures during the Eid Al Adha holiday to avoid the spread of the virus. Dr Farida Al Hosani, spokesperson for the UAE Health Sector said that the number of cases rose after the Eid Al Fitr holidays. “Increasing number of infections in the country have been observed, especially after Eid holiday. This was due to several reasons, one of which is failure to abide by precautionary measures in place, as well as large gatherings,” she said.
