Covid-19: Ras Al Khaimah extends precautionary measures till June 8

Shopping malls are allowed to operate at 60 per cent capacity

Ras Al Khaimah has extended its implementation of Covid-19 preventive protocols until June 8.

Capacity of public beaches and parks has been restricted to 70 per cent, while shopping malls will be allowed to operate at 60 per cent capacity.

Meanwhile, family gatherings and community events such as weddings, will be restricted to 10 people and those gathering for funerals will be capped at 20.

Social distance of two meters must be maintained, while wearing a mask in public places is mandatory.

Additionally, public transport, cinemas and recreational events and activities, fitness centres and gyms, and hotel swimming pools and beaches must operate at 50 per cent capacity.

According to an earlier directive, Covid-19 preventive protocols instituted in the emirate were originally expected to remain in effect till April 8.
