Home Industry Education Abu Dhabi announces e-learning for all school students for first two weeks of new term The decision was made to protect the health and safety of students, teachers and school staff, officials said by Aarti Nagraj December 30, 2020 All school students in Abu Dhabi will have remote learning for the first two weeks of the new term, starting on January 3, the emirate confirmed on Wednesday. The decision will apply to all students at both public and private schools in the emirate, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, in coordination with Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), said in a statement. “The decision was made to protect the health and safety of students, teachers and school staff,” the statement said. The committee also confirmed that all students, teachers and school staff returning to the UAE from international travel through any of the country’s airports or ports must adhere to quarantine measures implemented in Abu Dhabi emirate. “The committee also stressed the importance of parents, students, and academic and administration staff adhering to all preventive and precautionary measures to protect their health and maintain public safety,” the statement added. The emirate’s education authority added that it would coordinate with these schools and help them in implementing necessary precautionary measures to protect students and staff from the virus.
