Home Industry Technology Avaya Spaces introduces 61-participant “concert view” video call layout Organisations continue to rapidly embrace cloud collaboration solutions by David Ndichu November 11, 2020 Avaya Spaces is adding a “concert view” feature, capable of hosting 61 participants in a concert – style HD video layout with the primary speaker enlarged at the centre – ideal for town hall-type meetings. Spaces is a collaboration app from Avaya that brings together voice, video, messaging, chat and task management in a single platform. Other enhancements in Avaya Spaces include flexible video layouts able to accommodate different meeting types such as panel discussions, training, project planning and interviews. There are also new collaboration controls to enable various use cases; for example, a teacher can enable students to post completed assignments or chat outside of class time, or turn-off capabilities to eliminate distractions. Additionally, Avaya Spaces also adds more powers to the host, including mute, control of participant cameras and microphones as well as a “raise hand” feature. “Today’s business environment has reshaped how organisations, customers and individuals work and collaborate no matter where teams are located, but it is not enough to just remote-enable people, we need to create the new future of work,” said Anthony Bartolo, EVP and chief product officer, Avaya.
