For those who overstay for more than six months, the daily fine amount is Dhs50. That figure increases to Dhs100 per day after a year. The ICA began receiving visa renewal applications on July 12, after the UAE cabinet issued a directive to cancel a previous decision that automatically extended the validity of residency visas that expired after March 1, 2020 until year-end.
