Home UAE Dubai Dubai announces free parking for Hijri New Year Tariffs will resume on Monday, August 24 by Zainab Mansoor August 20, 2020 All public parking spaces in the emirate of Dubai, excluding multi-storey parking, will be free of charge on August 23, on account of Hijri New Year. Tariffs will resume on Monday, August 24, Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has said. RTA has also announced the timings of its services covering customer happiness centres, public buses, metro, tram, marine transport, and service provider centres (technical testing of vehicles). Red Line stations on Dubai Metro will operate from 5am until midnight on August 23, while its Green Line stations will function from 5.30am until midnight on the same day. All RTA Customer Happiness centres will remain closed on Sunday, August 23, while smart centres at Umm Ramool, Al Manara, Deira, Barsha, Al Kifaf and the head office will remain operational as usual, 24/7. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Center issued a similar directive for all surface parking spaces.
