The low-cost carrier will fly to Kabul from Abu Dhabi thrice a week on Friday, Sunday and Wednesday and to Dhaka twice a week on Friday and Wednesday. The average price for a one-way flight from the UAE to Kabul begins from approximately Dhs850, while the average starting price for flights to Dhaka are Dhs1,300. On July 14, the low-cost carrier undertook its inaugural flight to Alexandria in Egypt. The following day it flew to Sohag. The new airline – the UAE’s fifth – was formed following an agreement by Etihad Airways and Air Arabia to establish an independent joint venture company that will operate as a low-cost passenger airline with Abu Dhabi International Airport as its hub. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has started operations with two Airbus A320 aircraft based in Abu Dhabi International Airport, offering the same products and services provided by Air Arabia.
