Home Covid-19 Rivoli to offer free optical lenses to all doctors, nurses and healthcare staff in the UAE They need to visit any Rivoli EyeZone store across the country and present their work ID to avail of the offer by Varun Godinho April 20, 2020 Dubai-based watch and accessory retailer Rivoli Group has announced that its eyewear brand, Rivoli EyeZone, will offer free optical lenses to all doctors, nurses, paramedics and healthcare staff in the UAE as a way to thank them for their services during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. These healthcare workers need to visit any Rivoli EyeZone store across the country and present their work ID in order to avail of the offer. “As a retail group that has always supported the community at large, we want to particularly thank and honour every healthcare worker during these unprecedented times, who are working hard on the frontline to keep the entire country safe. Our gesture to gift optical lenses to all healthcare staff is just a small token of appreciation for everything that these services are doing,” said Ramesh Prabhakar, managing partner and vice chairman of the Rivoli Group. Several other private companies in the UAE have undertaken initiatives to show their appreciation for healthcare workers. On April 19, on-demand fuel delivery service Cafu said that it would offer free fuel to 640 employees working at Dubai Health Authority (DHA). JA Resorts meanwhile said that it would offer a one-night complimentary stay with breakfast at one of its six hotels and resorts in Dubai to 1,000 medical professionals. In March, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted a video expressing his gratitude to the country’s healthcare workers and asked the community to demonstrate its solidarity with the entire medical community battling the Covid-19 pandemic.
