Oman quarantines more than 1,300 people on coronavirus fears

The sultanate has reported a total of six Covid-19 cases

More than 1,300 people remain under institutional and domestic quarantine in Oman in a sign of drastic measures undertaken by the sultanate to halt the spread of the coronavirus, Oman News Agency tweeted, citing the sultanate’s health minister.

“The number of persons in the institutional and domestic quarantine is 1,320, and one of the infected cases has recovered,” Dr. Ahmed Al Saeedi, Minister of Health told Oman TV.

Two female citizens who had come in from Iran had been confirmed as the sultanate’s first coronavirus cases, which has now risen to a total of six.
