Home UAE Dubai Zaha Hadid To Design ME by Meliá Dubai Strikingly designed hotel aims to open in the Burj Khalifa district in 2016. by Dominic Ellis October 6, 2013 ME by Meliá Dubai is scheduled to open in Burj Khalifa district in 2016, and will be the first hotel that renowned architect Zaha Hadid designs inside and out. The hotel, featuring a striking see-through design, will be located in the Opus building and developed by Omniyat, and contain Michelin-star restaurants and top-end international F&B brands. It’s a significant move by Meliá Hotels International which, in bringing its first top-end ME branded hotel to Dubai, complementing ME hotels in London, Madrid, Cancun and Cabo, will be competing in the city’s increasingly crowded luxury space. It marks Meliá’s second hotel in the city after Meliá Dubai in Bur Dubai. Guests will be allocated a dedicated Aura Manager, whose job it is to know the city back-to-front and use this knowledge to make the hotel’s service “truly bespoke”. The service philosophy extends to the owners of the exclusive serviced apartments, which includes four penthouses with private roof terraces on the upper floors. 0 Comments
