Home UAE Abu Dhabi Wizz Air Abu Dhabi to operate twice-weekly flights to Greece Starting April 19, permanent residents of the UAE can enter Greece without being quarantined by Zainab Mansoor May 2, 2021 UAE national carrier Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will increase its flight operations to Greece, it announced on May 2. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi currently flies to Thessaloniki every Thursday and as of July, the carrier will fly twice per week on Thursdays and Sundays. Meanwhile, Wizz Air will increase its existing frequency to Athens – currently every Friday – to twice per week on Mondays and Fridays starting this June. Fares start as low as Dhs199 for a one-way ticket, including administration fee and a one carry-bag, applicable on bookings made on the carrier’s website and mobile app. Beginning April 19, permanent residents of the UAE can enter Greece without being quarantined. They must provide a negative PCR test taken by swab up to 72 hours before the arrival, or hold a certificate of vaccination in English issued by a public authority. The vaccination needs to have been completed at least 14 days before arrival to Greece. The certificate should include the full name of the passenger, the type of vaccine, the number of doses taken and the dates, a statement said. Athens and Thessaloniki provide incredible historic and cultural experiences and we look forward to enabling people to witness all that Greece has to offer.” Last month, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi landed its first flight in Israel, launching the route between Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi.
