Home UAE Abu Dhabi Wizz Air Abu Dhabi to begin flights to Oman, Italy and Ukraine Its network has expanded to 22 destinations, with more expected to be added over the coming months by Varun Godinho May 11, 2021 Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has confirmed it will imminently commence flights to Kiev in Ukraine, Bari in Italy, and Salalah and Muscat in Oman. The flight to Ukraine’s capital city, Kiev, will be operated thrice per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The exact date from when these flights will commence it yet to be confirmed. The other cities in Ukraine that Wizz Air has previously stated that it will fly to from Abu Dhabi include Odesa (from June 2021) and Boryspil (starting July 2021). On the airline’s website, flight bookings for this route are open starting September 21. Meanwhile, flights between Abu Dhabi and Salalah in Oman will begin from July 3 and will be operated twice per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays; flights to the capital of Oman, Muscat, will start on July 1 and will operate thrice per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The low-cost UAE national carrier launched in January 2021, and its network has now expanded to 22 destinations, with more expected to be added over the coming months. It has the a fleet of four brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft. “Kiev, Bari, Salalah and Muscat are our next destinations in a series of new route announcements we have made, and will continue to make – we are committed to providing Abu Dhabi residents and tourists with new travel options and destinations at affordable prices,” said Kees Van Schaick, managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. Last week, the carrier said that it had partnered with Life Diagnostics to offer a discounted rate on Covid-19 PCR tests, applicable to all passengers in the UAE. The price of the tests will be Dhs55 in Abu Dhabi and Dhs120 in Dubai. Additionally, passengers can also request a home visit service to be tested within their homes or offices, subject to additional charges.
