The flights from Abu Dhabi to Erbil operate every Monday and Friday with one-way fares starting at approximately Dhs269. The flight departs from Abu Dhabi at 8.35am and lands in Erbil at 10.50am. The return service commences at 11.25am and lands back in Abu Dhabi at 3pm. “We are delighted to inaugurate our first flight to Erbil, a city of spectacular historical beauty, as we reaffirm our commitment to growing our ever-expanding network throughout the region,” said Johan Eidhagen, managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi grows fleet Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the second largest airline in Abu Dhabi by seat capacity, recently announced the addition of the 11th aircraft to its fleet. The new Airbus A321 aircraft will help the carrier expand is destination network and frequencies. “With the recent arrival of the 11th aircraft to our fleet, we are further bolstering our ambitious expansion plans and are ready to unlock further low-fares and exciting travel options to must-see destinations,” said Eidhagen. The low-cost carrier’s current network includes Alexandria, Athens, Cairo, Dammam Kutaisi, Larnaca, Male, Madinah, Santorini, Tel Aviv, and Tirana, among several others. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi operated more than 6,000 flights and transported over 1.2 million passengers in 2022. The carrier is a joint venture between ADQ and Wizz Air Holdings, and carried over 600,000 point-to-point passengers to the UAE last year alone.
