The agreement will foster the growth and development of the gaming and blockchain sectors in the kingdom. MISA is a government agency that collaborates with foreign companies to facilitate investment and expansion projects in Saudi Arabia, as part of the country’s 2030 Vision to diversify its economy. During the Saudi-Korea Investment Forum in November 2022, Wemade had discussions with Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister Khalid A. Al-Falih and other officials, which sparked their interest in the company. This eventually led to a partnership with Nine66, a subsidiary of Savvy Games Group, and the signing of the MOU with MISA. The partnership will focus on various initiatives such as training programmes, educational content, game localisation and sponsorship of regional events. A representative from MISA commented: “We are very excited for Wemade’s progress in expanding its activities in Saudi Arabia and are looking forward to continuing supporting Wemade’s footprint through connecting it to strategic partners in the sector. This progress would be yet another step further into realising the national objective of becoming a hub for gaming and esports in line with the National Gaming and Esports Strategy” Read: Saudi Crown Prince unveils National Gaming and Esports Strategy Also read: Quest Esports opens gaming district in Doha Tags Blockchain Gaming Saudi Arabia Technology 0 Comments You might also like Citi secures licence for regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia Saudi Aramco to take on more debt, focus on dividend growth – report Eight Sleep expands into UAE, offering smart sleep solutions TAQA, JERA, Al Bawani Capital to develop 2 power plants in Saudi Arabia
