Visitors from the GCC can now use Covid-19 apps approved by their country’s health ministry to enter the UAE, in an attempt to ease movement between regional countries.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) took to Twitter to stress that the approved apps can be used to prove the vaccination status and test results taken outside the UAE. These apps can be used to access places that require a Green Pass, contingent on certain conditions.

However, visitors from the GCC countries must adhere to all entry protocols.

Abu Dhabi scrapped the quarantine requirement for all vaccinated travellers arriving into the emirate from all international destinations earlier this month.
