Home UAE Dubai Video: Dubai’s Meraas opens food truck park Last Exit Mad X in Jebel Ali Last Exit Mad X caters to those travelling from Dubai towards Abu Dhabi by Aarti Nagraj August 10, 2017 Dubai’s Meraas has opened another food truck park – Last Exit Mad X – on Thursday, August 10 on Sheikh Zayed Road in Jebel Ali. The new park, located opposite Last Exit E11, caters to those travelling from Dubai towards Abu Dhabi and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The post-apocalyptic themed Last Exit ‘Mad X’ features war rigs, monster trucks and abandoned cars. Most of the materials used have been sourced from recycled wood, scrap metal, wires, cables, pipes and cars, according to Meraas. The decor also features oil drum tables for guests, full sized cars half submerged in the ground, grass areas for picnics, camouflaged netting for shade, and flickering TV screens for signage. Spread across almost 500,000 square feet, Last Exit Mad X will be more than three times the size of Last Exit E11, which opened in July 2016. It includes 11 food trucks from burgers to bao buns, to Thai and Indian street food. The full list includes: Pad Thai Johnny Rockets 800 Degrees Pizza Gyros Hot Chix Burger Pit Poco Loco Jaldi Jaldi Starbucks The Stuffed Burger BBQ on Wheels Just For Kids Bao Bun Sushi Box Dirty Dogs My Karak There are also future plans for an indoor dining area, with theatrical effects at the themed destination, Meraas said. Last Exit Mad X is the fourth of 10 planned locations across Dubai over the next two years (three parks are currently in operation at Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Qudra and Al Khawaneej). Each destination has its own identity and characteristics. 0 Comments
