Home World Middle East UK-based Arena Group merges UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia divisions The company said the move will allow for “maximum utilisation of resources” across the EMEA region by Gulf Business June 18, 2020 UK-based event services company Arena Group is merging its UK and Europe division along with its Middle East and Asia operations to form Arena EMEA. As a result of the merger, the company confirmed that Chris Morris, CEO of the UK and Europe and Andrew Lawson, managing director of the UK Structures and Ice business, will be leaving the company. Paul Berger, the current CEO of Arena Middle East and Asia, has been appointed the chief executive officer of Arena EMEA, and he will be responsible for overseeing the merger of the two businesses. Arena EMEA’s new structure is “designed to leverage from one central pool of kit and talent that will be run by a consolidated EMEA management team” , a statement said. The move will allow for “maximum utilisation of resources” across the EMEA region. Under the new structure, the MEA division’s delivery of design led solutions, offering temporary architecture, will also be introduced into the UK. Arena Group CEO, Greg Lawless said: “We believe that the formation of one EMEA division will create a stronger business, both commercially and financially, and this move will allow us to offer a more efficient and innovative turnkey service to our clients which is even more important in these difficult times for the global events market. “Under this new structure, we will continue to develop the Arena Standard into a highly creative, design led model offering temporary architecture with a permanent feel to the marketplace.” Arena specialises in design, delivery and management services including the provision of temporary event equipment such as structures, seating and interiors. It works with sporting organisations, cultural events, venues and brands across the world.
