Home GCC UAE Uber appoints new GM for MENA, Pakistan region Saad Pall’s most recent role was of the company’s General Manager in Pakistan by Zainab Mansoor May 31, 2021 Uber has appointed Saad Pall to the role of General Manager across Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan. The role covers Uber’s business in 36 cities across eight regional countries. Pall brings 15 years of strategy and marketing experience from the US, Singapore and Pakistan, and is taking over the position from Abdellatif Waked, who is now heading Uber’s business across the Middle East and Africa. Pall’s most recent role was of the company’s General Manager in Pakistan, where he was responsible for all business and operations in the market. Prior to joining Uber, he served in marketing and strategy roles at Coca-Cola, Accenture and SAP across US, Singapore and Pakistan. Pall holds an MBA in Strategy and Marketing from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Based in Dubai, Pall’s role aims on working in tandem with in-market teams to help identify areas of growth, set regional priorities, and drive the business. Saad Pall said: “The legacy of driver engagement and community partnerships that has already been created in the region is impressive, and I’m looking forward to progressing the work that’s already happening.
