The NCEMA added that authorities would close down roads in areas such as valleys as well as those prone to water accumulation. Weather alert across UAE The UAE is bracing for challenging weather conditions starting today. Certain parts of the UAE were placed under a yellow alert by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) as the country prepares for unstable weather conditions. The NCM forecasts moderate to heavy rain accompanied by occasional lightning and thunder later in the night into Thursday, May 2. The report added that there could be some hail concentrated in western regions, on the coasts, and in some eastern areas. This is a developing story.
