The UAE’s highest restaurant is set to open in Ras Al Khaimah on October 1.

1484 by Puro borrows its name from the fact that it will be located 1,484 metres above sea level within commanding views of the Hajar Mountains.

The licensed Mediterranean restaurant with ceiling-to-glass windows and an indoors as well as an alfresco dining area is located near the Jais Adventure Centre, which includes the world’s longest zip line.

“With the opening of 1484 by Puro at the Jebel Jais Welcome Center, visitors can now enjoy an all-encompassing experience at the standalone destination that is the Jais Adventure Peak, home to thrilling adventure attractions such as the Jebel Jais Flight, Jais Sky Maze, and the Jais Sky Tour,” said Alison Grinnell, CEO of RAK Hospitality Holding.

The restaurant will be open from breakfast through to dinner

The restaurant will be open from breakfast through to dinner. Using locally sourced ingredients, breakfast staples include Eggs Benedict and shakshuka, while dinner and lunch options include Korean Fried Chicken and braised beef ribs.

This is the third restaurant by independent dining concept Puro within the UAE – its other outposts are located in Al Marjan Island and at the Jais Viewing Deck Park.

Taking into account the current Covid-19 pandemic, the restaurant will adhere to World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centres for Disease Control (CDC) standards, as well protocols issued by the authorities here in the UAE.

The restaurant with a capacity to accommodate a maximum of 76 guests will have sanitization equipment and adhere to required distancing directives.
