Flights to Ashgabat International Airport (ASB) will commence with a twice-weekly service from January 23, 2023. With flights resuming to Ashgabat, flydubai will expand its network to nine points in Central Asia in five countries. This includes Almaty, Ashgabat, Astana, Bishkek, Dushanbe, Namangan, Osh, Samarkand, Tashkent. From January onwards, the airline will also commence flights to seven new destinations including Cagliari, Corfu, Gan, Krabi, Milan Bergamo, Pattaya and St Petersburg, growing its network to 116 destinations in 53 countries. Flight details Flights between Terminal 2, Dubai International and ASB will operate twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Emirates will codeshare on this route offering passengers more options to connect through Dubai’s international aviation hub. In other news, flydubai has enabled more than 100,000 football fans to take part in the football tournament hosted in Qatar. The carrier operated 900 flights between Dubai World Central and Doha International Airport between November 21 and December 7, 2022, the majority of which flew at near full capacity at peak travel periods of the day.
