The UAE’s first Swissôtel hotel has opened its doors in Dubai after the rebranding of a property at Al Ghurair Centre, Deira.

The property includes 428 hotel rooms and 192 apartments and is targeting business and leisure travellers.

It was formerly managed by Abu Dhabi’s Rotana.

Facilities include dining restaurants, a 20,000-square-foot spa with a fitness centre, swimming pool and tennis courts, six meeting rooms and a ballroom.

The new opening comes following a partnership between Al Ghurair Properties and Swissôtel brand owner AccorHotels in July 2017.

The partnership with Swissôtel is just one part of our many initiatives to reposition and enhance our real estate portfolio; the Al Ghurair Centre has many exciting new brands coming as well as the 58 projects currently under development,” said Sultan Al Ghurair, CEO of Al Ghurair Properties.

Emiel Van Dijk will head the property after four years at Swissôtel The Bosphorus.

There are two other Swissôtel properties in the Middle East.

Accor has 45 hotels in the UAE and 24 under development. It operates 100 hotels across the wider Middle East.
