UAE weather update: Winds expected, NCM issues fog alert

The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a fog alert expected over parts of the country.

Light to moderate winds are also expected.

“Fair to partly cloudy in general. Humid by night and Thursday morning over some coastal and internal areas, with a chance of fog or mist formation, especially Westward,” NCM said in its weather bulletin.

The UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 6.4°C in Jabal Jais (Ras Al Khaimah) at 4.30am today morning.

Temperatures across internal areas in the UAE are expected to scale to as high as 23°C on Monday, with lows touching 9°C.

Meanwhile, temperatures will hover between 13-25°C in the coastal areas and islands, and between 6-18°C among the mountains.

Overcast conditions will also spill over to tomorrow, January 12, with a chance of fog or mist formation.
