The weather in the UAE may remain partly cloudy in parts of the country on Thursday, August 27, with rainfall expected in certain areas, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said.

However, humidity may persist later tonight, and cascade over to Friday early morning.

“Hazy to partly cloudy, with chance of convective clouds formation Eastward may extend to some internal areas associated with rainfall. Humid night and Friday early morning. Gradual increase in temperature over some internal areas. Light to moderate Southeasterly becoming Northwesterly winds, freshening during daytime causing blowing dust and sand reducing horizontal visibility. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea,” NCM said in a statement.

The UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 21.1°C in Jebel Al Heben at 5.45am today.

Temperatures will vary between 28-41°C in the coastal areas, between 27-46°C in the internal areas and 20-36°C in the mountains.

Meanwhile, humidity will range between 20-85 per cent in coastal areas, between 20-80 per cent in internal areas, and 25-70 per cent in the mountains.

Overcast conditions may persist over the weekend, accompanied by fresh winds and potential dust storms.
