Overcast conditions with spells of rain are expected across the UAE, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said.

Earlier today, NCM issued a weather alert informing locals of the impending ‘unstable’ conditions that are predicted to affect the region. The centre also shared “the expected weather and the maximum and minimum temperatures for the cities of the country for the coming days.”

Meanwhile, Fujairah Corniche, Wadi Mai, Dibbah Al Hisn, Al Aqah and Fujairah International Airport experienced light to moderate rainfall today.

The UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 2.8°C in Jais Mountain (Ras Al Khaimah) at 5.15am local time today.

NCM listed a number of safety precautions for drivers.

“Partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times over scattered areas with a chance of rainfall especially over some Eastern, Coastal, and Western areas,” NCM forecasted in its weather bulletin on Monday.

Light rain was experienced over the Al Mirfa region in the wee hours of the Monday morning, while light to moderate showers were recorded across the Dalma Island.

“The sea will be moderate becoming rough at times especially with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and moderate becoming rough at times during daytime in Oman sea,” NCM added.

The centre also issued an alert on social media, encouraging residents to be cognisant should they plan outdoor activities.

The centre has confirmed that overcast conditions with bouts of rain are expected to last until Friday. Although sea conditions will be moderate, they may become rough at times.

According to Windy.com, the heaviest of rainfall is expected on Wednesday and Thursday.
