UAE weather update: Fog and rainfall expected in parts of the country

The weather will remain dusty to partly cloudy on Monday, with temperatures expected to drop

Overcast conditions with fog and mist over internal areas are expected to persist across the country today.

In addition, rainfall is anticipated in northern and eastern areas along a drop in temperatures, National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) tweeted.

Fog was reported over Ghayathi, Tarif – Liwa road and over most areas surrounding Madinat Zayed in the Al Dhafra area.

It also continued to blanket parts of Jebel Ali in Dubai, and Sweihan and Al Shahama in Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, the UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 9.2°C in Jais Mountain at 7am today.

Temperatures will vary between 15-27°C in the coastal areas, between 13-29°C in the internal areas and 8-18°C in the mountains.

“Light to moderate winds freshening at times causing suspended dust and blowing sand. The sea will be moderate, may become rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman sea,” NCM added in a statement.

Overcast conditions are expected to spill over to Tuesday, with probability of some rainfall during daytime. Meanwhile, light to moderate northeasterly to easterly winds are also anticipated tomorrow.
