Home GCC UAE UAE weather update: Dust storms expected; NCM issues alert The UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 24.3°C in Raknah (Al Ain region) at 5.30am today by Zainab Mansoor June 13, 2021 Fresh winds are expected to hit parts of the UAE, causing dust and rendering low horizontal visibility, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has advised. “Fresh Northwesterly winds and strong at times with a speed reaching 45kph, causing blowing dust and sand, reducing the horizontal visibility to less than 3000m at times over some exposed areas especially Westward, from 8am until 6pm, Sunday,” the NCM said on Twitter. Temperatures will hit lows of 26°C and highs of 40°C amid the coastal areas today, while it will hover between 24-45°C in the internal areas, and range between 22-38°C in the mountains, the NCM added.
