UAE weather alert: showers, winds expected to hit the country across the week

The National Centre of Meteorology forecasted potential rain to hit scattered areas across the UAE with a drop in temperatures

Cloudy skies and showers prevailed across the UAE on Sunday, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issuing an alert, urging residents to stay safe.

The NCM forecasted potential rain and strong winds to hit scattered areas across the UAE with a drop in temperatures.

 

The lowest temperature recorded in the UAE was 10.1°C in Jais mountain at 2.45am on Sunday, NCM tweeted.

Moderate to heavy rain lashed Dyeenah Island in Abu Dhabi while light showers washed over Dubai, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain, NCM tweeted.

The Abu Dhabi Corniche also experienced light rain.
