Home GCC UAE UAE Warriors launches new championship exclusively for Arab fighters The inaugural UAE Warriors Arabia event is scheduled to take place in January 2021 by Varun Godinho October 20, 2020 The Abu Dhabi-based professional mixed martial arts organisation, UAE Warriors, has launched a new version of the championship starting January 2021 called the UAE Warriors Arabia which will be open exclusively to Arab fighters. Arab fighters from around the world will compete in all weight divisions throughout a series of events that will be held in parallel to the international series of the championship. UAE Warriors, which launched in 2012, is scheduled to hold its 14th edition November 14-27. There have been reportedly over 220 warriors, including 42 Arab fighters, who have participated in the championship since its inception. While the new championship will be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Darwish confirmed that plans are afoot to also expand it to other venues in Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Qaiwain and Fujairah. The UAE Warriors Arabia will further cement the UAE’s position as a hub for mixed martial arts events, especially with Abu Dhabi already hosting several international UFC fights.
