UAE warns of misty conditions, rough seas

Similar weather conditions are expected during the weekend

The UAE will see misty conditions on Thursday, with areas of fog reported across the country in the morning, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said.

Areas facing fog and mist were identified in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

Overall, the weather in the country will be partly cloudy and hazy on Thursday, the NCM said in its daily bulletin.

Humidity will increase at night and early morning over some internal areas.

Northwesterly winds, especially over the sea, will cause blowing dust and sand over the exposed areas. Wind speeds will reach up to 45km/hr, the NCM said.

It also warned that the strong winds will cause the sea to be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in Oman Sea.

Temperatures in the country will range from 14 degrees celsius to 26 degrees in the coastal areas, between 13 degrees and 28 degrees in the internal areas and touch lows of 6 degrees in the mountains, with highs reaching 22 degrees.

Weather conditions will be similar during the weekend, the NCM said in its forecast.
