UAE to pilot distance learning initiative on March 9

The UAE had shut down all educational institutions for a period of four weeks beginning March 8, and announced a distance learning initiative

The Ministry of Education (MoE) in the UAE has announced its intent to pilot the remote learning initiative on Wednesday, March 17.

“Further to the distance learning initiative and to ensure the effective use of the smart learning platform for all students, the MOE will implement an experiment at 4:30-5:30pm tomorrow, Wednesday, to activate distance learning to ensure the quality of application” a tweet by the ministry read in part.

 

The ministry confirmed that the step aimed to ensure the effectiveness of using the distance learning system conveniently.

This move follows the decision to implement a remote learning initiative in light of the government’s decision to shut all educational institutions for a period of four weeks beginning March 8.
