UAE telcos Etisalat and du offer discounts for people of determination
The telcos will offer internet and mobile data for half-price
UAE telecommunications companies Etisalat and du have announced special half-price mobile and internet packages for people of determination.
The special rates are for all packages, including internet, mobile data, TV, telephone and video calling.
The discounts apply to people of determination living in the UAE.
The UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced the special rates on Twitter last week.

The Etisalat deal also covers prepaid and postpaid plans, eLife plans, and free internet calling on the BOTIM and C’Me apps.
The du deal also covers smart, Emirati and new Emirati postpaid plans.

In 2018, the UAE TRA instructed telecommunications companies to offer free video calls for people of determination, coinciding with Arab deaf week.
