The latest directive will apply to all nationalities, with no exceptions. Applicants can submit applications via the authority’s website, and must present a negative Covid-19 test before arrival into the country. Employers are required to ensure arrivals enter a 14-day quarantine period upon arrival, in coordination with the relevant authorities, reported official news agency WAM. The ICA added that it will allow entry of these categories of employees provided that their employers submit applications via the authority’s website (ica.gov.ae). On September 24, the ICA announced that it had resumed issuing entry permits for visitors to the country, though work permits were still not being issued at the time.
