The new infections were detected, following 282,015 tests across the country to screen for the virus. The health ministry also announced three deaths due to Covid-19-related complications, spiking the toll to 2,053. Meanwhile, 1,127 recoveries were also reported, increasing the total number of recovered patients to 716,231.
