Home Covid-19 UAE reports 546 Covid-19 cases, 11 deaths The Covid-19-related death toll has now risen to 157 by Zainab Mansoor May 6, 2020 The UAE has announced 546 new coronavirus infections, raising the total number of Covid-19 cases to 15,738. The Ministry of Health and Prevention confirmed that the new cases were detected as a result of 25,573 tests conducted across the country. All the newly diagnosed patients are undergoing treatment. The ministry also confirmed the death of 11 individuals who had tested positive for the virus and died due to complications. The infected cases include a 2-month infant and a number of elderly people,” Dr. Amna Al Shamsi, UAE government spokesperson confirmed. The spokesperson urged the public to continue to practice social distancing and follow precautionary measures.
