UAE reports 541 new Covid-19 cases, 331 recoveries

The UAE government reported 541 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, August 31.

The new cases were detected following 82,763 tests undertaken to screen for the virus.

The total number of infections discovered in the country until now stands at 70,231.

The country’s Ministry of Health and Prevention added that there were 331 recoveries over the preceding 24 hours.

Hence, 60,931 patients have recovered after contracting the virus.

The ministry said that there were also two additional fatalities due to the virus, pushing the overall death count up to 384.

In related news, over 31,000 individuals within the country have been vaccinated as part of the ongoing Covid-19 Phase III vaccine ‘4 Humanity’ trials currently underway within the country.

Thousands of these volunteers have already received their second shot of the vaccine too.

All the volunteers belonging to 120 different nationalities will receive regular health checks and will be closely monitored.
