The new cases were discovered following over 63,000 tests conducted to screen for the virus. More than 63,000 Covid-19 tests were conducted by #UAE health authorities, revealing 421 new cases and bringing the total number of cases to 48,667. The new cases identified are undergoing treatment. #UAEGov — UAEGov (@uaegov) June 30, 2020 The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) also reported 490 recoveries. Therefore, 37,566 individuals have recovered after contracting the virus. The ministry confirmed that one new death took place as a result of the virus, owing to complications, raising the total number of deaths in the country to 315. The UAE has gradually eased several of the Covid-19 restrictions that were in place earlier and have now ended the National Sterilisation Programme. On Monday, the UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, confirmed that mosques and other places of worship too will be reopened across the country at 30 per cent capacity on July 1.
